On Sunday morning children ages four and up are welcome to attend a worship service specifically designed for them. First Christian Church offers Children Worship and Wonder, a Montessori-based curriculum that assumes children already have an active relationship with the Divine and only need a space to connect and deepen their faith experience. During worship they sing songs, hear and see a Bible story being told in an interactive way, share in a “feast,” and have time to reflect on the story they heard for the day.
Children & Youth Ministries
Children are always welcome in worship. We do offer a nursery for infants and toddlers. At First Christian Church, we believe children are a vital part of our community! We welcome children and youth to take part and encourage them to use their unique gifts in our community of faith. Children are welcome to stay in worship, or go to the Nursery, or to "Worship and Wonder."
Wednesday Night Live!
Wednesdays are all about the Children & Youth at Wednesday Night Live from 5:30 to 7pm. We offer something for children from four years through 12th grade. The night begins with dinner and we can be doing anything from singing songs, dramas, Bible stories, games, prayer time, & crafts.
Throughout the year we have opportunities for fellowship and learning for children and youth. This can be anything from: Vacation Bible School, to serving a free meal at the “Love Kitchen,” a Dodgeball game, Baptism/Discipleship Class, ski trip, Summer church camp, mission trips, mural painting, ice skating & caroling at a local nursing home.
