Ministries
Outreach & Service
At FCC we believe that the Church is to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world today.  Here is some of the Outreach we have done: sponsoring a refugee family from Iraq, preparing Christmas baskets for the hungry, an Angel Tree for Christmas gifts for low income children, working with our local Food Pantry,  and serving meals at the "Love Kitchen," a free meal offered to the community.  We have also taken mission trips to the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, to Haiti, and a summer trip for youth to Memphis to learn more about the issue of homelessness.

On Wednesdays at 5pm you can find a group for our church serving a free meal, and offering homework help, games, and friendship to children and youth living in a low income neighborhood, called, "Kids Cafe." We partner with the Second Harvest Food Bank & the Rockwood Ministerial Association in this ministry. You can find more about Kids Cafe here:

We are a partnering congregation with the Rockwood Ministerial Association, which is an ecumenical Ministry in our community that offers a food bank, bill help, & other programs that serve those in need.

We also seek to make good use of our building space by offering space for several nonprofits and support groups to meet in our building.  They are: Narcotics Anonymous, The Michael Dunn Center (www.michaeldunncenter.org), Child-Family TN (www.child-family.org) & Safe Haven (www.safehavencenter.org)

Women & Men's Ministry
Each month we offer opportunities for faith formation and fellowship opportunities through the Christian Women's Fellowship Circles for women & the Carpenter's Group for men.

Music Ministry
On Sunday mornings you are likely to hear a range of style in music from Bluegrass, Gospel, Contemporary, and Classical Music. The Adult Choir leads us in music each Sunday under the leadership
of our Choir Director, Janice Mitchell.  Janice Mitchell leads worship by playing our Moller Pipe Organ & the piano. The choir meets on Wednesdays at  6:30 pm.  Our handbell choir meets at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays.

Victorian Square Worship
On the first Sunday of the month at 2pm we hold a worship service at the Victorian Square assisted living community.  It is a chance to provide a worship opportunity for senior men and women who may not have an opportunity to leave their residence to make it to a worship service on Sunday mornings.

Mother's Day Out
Since the  1970's Mother’s Day Out is a preschool program offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays for children ages three to five.  Mother’s Day Out is designed to help children learn the foundations for a lifetime of learning to give them that head start in school.  We try to keep the program affordable, by charging just $12.00 a day.

If you would like to have more information about the Mother’s Day Out program or are interested in enrollment, you can call the Church office at 354-1753 to speak with a teacher.

Sunday School
Sunday school is offered for men, women, children and youth at 10 am each Sunday morning in the Christian Education building.  We have a variety of different classes which use their own curriculum and Bible Study.
